The opportunity to become a professional soccer player in Europe is now a real opportunity. The Playerspool has teamed up with Next Wave Athletics and Soccer Madness to bring young soccer players within the Chicago and surrounding area the opportunity of a lifetime!!
The Playerspool, Next Wave Athletics and Soccer Madness will be holding a 2-day initial showcase on the 22nd and 23rd of April 2010 at Schaumburg Olympic Park from 5pm to 9pm for players who’s birthdays fall between 01/01/1993 and 12/31/1994.
The showcase will consist of players being split into equal teams and being given a coach per team, the teams will participate in coaching sessions/drills and practice matches, so that the Playerspool and Next Wave Athletics scouts can assess the ability of the players for an equal amount of time.
The best 30 players from both showcases will be selected for a final showcase 6 days later on the 29th of April (times to be confirmed); from this final showcase we will select the best 24 squad of players and offer them a unique opportunity in Europe. (All players unsuccessful will be told of further opportunities with the Playerspool)
The final 24 will be invited (subject to cost) on a European soccer tour to England for 2 weeks (arranged by United Soccer Tours Ltd), within this 2 week period players will train as professional footballers at the new International Soccer Academy, Milton Keynes during this time at the Academy a players programme will consist of: -
• Individual Fitness Assessment
• Principles of attack and defence
• Small sided 3v3 and 4v4
• Nutrition for soccer and personal programme
• Strength Conditioning Programme
• Speed, agility and stamina tests and training
• Personal training plans
• 4/5 matches against Premier League Academy teams and Centres of Excellence
• Evening seminars with guest speakers (ex professional soccer players)
• Detailed Training and Match Analysis
• Full availability to Physio
• Medical Advice and treatments
• A copy of your own individual performance profile
• Full meals based on a professional footballers diet
• Full access to our gymnasium and indoor leisure centre
• Full use of our outdoor activities
• All kits will be provided (training and matches)
Over the two weeks we will showcase all the players again to scouts, coaches and agents from Premier League and Soccer League professional soccer clubs in England and other European Countries during training sessions and friendly matches and hopefully see some players offered a place at professional academies.
Players will also have the opportunity to visit famous soccer stadiums/live EPL matches and famous city landmarks.
We will give all players an action plan for the future regardless of interest from professional clubs.
